Welcome to Questamon Legal
Â
Forget everything you know about lawyers and law firms because here at Questamon Legal, we do things differently.Â
Â
We don’t measure our value in billable hours or layers of red tape. We’re all about solutions; plain and simple.
When you come to us, you’ll get advice straight from one of our senior lawyers who knows the construction industry inside out — not filtered through a chain of juniors or hidden behind jargon. We’re here to support you, guide you, and help make your contract work for you, not against you.Â

Laura McMahon Higgins
Laura is the powerhouse behind Questamon Training Services — though she’ll tell you her real superpowers are juggling two kids (without caffeine), a full calendar, and a room full of construction professionals who swear they “don’t do legal stuff.” As our managing director, she brings a down‑to‑earth, straight‑talking style that people across the industry genuinely connect with. Government agencies, principals, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers… if they’re building it, Laura’s probably helped someone decode the contract behind it.
With nationwide experience and more than 10,000 professionals trained, she’s seen every clause, claim and curveball the industry can throw. Laura blends deep expertise in claim preparation and dispute resolution with a sense of humour that makes even the driest contract feel a little less intimidating. She’s relatable, sharp, and always ready to turn complex legal concepts into something people can actually use.
Leonie SneppÂ
Leonie is a construction lawyer with more than a decade of experience, and at Questamon she’s one half of the powerful duo alongside Laura. The two work seamlessly together — different strengths, same straight‑talking style — giving clients a balanced, practical and fast‑moving senior team they can rely on.
Leonie began her career at an international law firm under an industry‑leading partner before moving into a commercial contracts role with a global iron ore producer, gaining practical insight into how major projects really operate. After having two children, Leonie later refined her expertise at a leading boutique firm (now part of a national practice), working alongside partners consistently recognised in Doyles Guide for their construction law expertise.
